Boghaunters (Williamsonia) are small (around 1.3" long) members of the Corduliidae or Emerald Family. There are only two species of Boghaunters in North America and both can be found in the region. The Ebony Boghaunter is mostly black except for white rings near the base of the abdomen. The ringed Boghaunter is brown with orange-yellow rings separating the abdominal segments
