Gomphidae is the only family of dragonflies in the area that have widely separated eyes. Gomphidae is comprised of many different Genera. In Minnesota and Wisconsin we have species from 10 different Gomphidae Genera including: Haegenius, Hylogomphus, Phanogomphus, Gomphurus, Stylurus, Dromogomphus, Arigomphus, Stylogomphus, Progomphus, and Ophiogomphus.
