Dragonfly Identification

Red Skimmers:

Many species of Skimmers (Libellulidae) are sexually dimorphic, meaning that males and females of the same species often look very different. Mainly this difference is exhibited in coloration. Most of the mature male Whiteface (Leucorrhia) and Meadowhawks (Sympetrum) are red and black while the immature males and the females are yellow/gold and black.
