Members of the Genus Epitheca, or Baskettails, are brown bodied with no metallic green sheen. Eyes are either brown or green, but not the metallic green of many other Emerald species. There are 4 species of Baskettails found in the region. Three of these species are very similar.
The Prince Baskettail is very different. It is much larger than the others and has an intricate wing pattern
Is the specimen large with wing patches at the base, nodus and tips of all four wings ?
Is the specimen without wing patches at the nodus and tips ?
