Dragonfly (Anisoptera):

Members of the Emeralds (Corduliidae) Family look very similar to members of the Skimmer (Libellulidae) Family, often making it difficult to determine which Family a specimen belongs to. Members of the Emerald Family have a thin yellow, white or gold, ring, that is either complete, incomplete, or broken, separating abdominal segments 2 and 3. While Skimmers do not have a ring separating those segments
